ABOUT MY WORK
PATTERNS
I make patterns. These are made up of visual elements that I draw and screen print on paper and textile.

MEETINGS
In my work I make connections. Individual building blocks meet each other in a design in which the interfaces and spaces in between play an important role.

GOING TOGETHER
In recent years I have been realizing monumental works of art in which I collaborate with different groups of participants. I am the artistic director here. I come up with the concept and create frameworks within which we work. The work of art portrays the people who contributed to it as a group.

DIFFERENCES
The individual visual elements continue to speak for themselves. I guide the participants in their individual visual language and teach them techniques and skills.

CONNECTIONS
In the artwork, the individual designs of the participants are connected to each other. The artwork is a collection of depicted stories of the participants. What the participants have to say becomes visible in the artwork.

The space between two designs
whether or not formed by
remains of one
remains of the other.
There is talk.
There is a meeting.
What do you contribute? What do I contribute?
Small pieces of no man’s land that offer a place to connect with each other
to clash, to differ
or go together,
to let go or hold on.
What do you contribute? What do I contribute?
